Festive season was busy for many so after two late withdrawals due to mechanical failure, only three intrepid drivers started Bob, the traditional December Macetown trip. ‘Big English Dave’ (Trip Leader) in his ‘cruiser, ‘Dave’ Shennan with his Dad Bob in his Hilux and Anton in his Pajero.
With only 3 vehicles there was plenty of time for exploring. A trip highlight was heading down the rock step into the Arrow River by Scoles tunnel and heading upstream – previously uncharted territory. Everyone safely got down and back!
The team also cam across an impressive water spout – a high pressure fountain coming out of the Arrow water supply pipeline. Location subsequently passed on to the maintenance folks who confirmed this is a regular occurrence at this spot.
Another great trip.
